I recently decided to switch to Siteground for my hosting provider. There were two big reasons I finally decided to switch, and they were: 1) I was coming up on renewal of my other hosting with Bluehost, and decided to shop around and 2) My site was continuously down recently, and downtime is not okay!

At one point my blog was down multiple times in one day, and at one of those points it was down for over 4 hours! That is NOT okay! When you depend on your blog to bring in email subscribers, income, and new readers, you cannot afford to have downtime like that.

So I did some research and I decided to go with Siteground. I had heard great things about them previously, and after doing my own research I thought they had a lot to offer.

THESE WERE THE TOP 3 REASONS I CHOSE SITEGROUND:

1 | SITEGROUND HAS AMAZING UP TIME

Like I mentioned above, one the main reasons I decided to switch was due to continuous down time that seemed to just be getting worse and worse. With Siteground they have 99.99% Uptime. That is AMAZING. That is less than 5 minutes per year!!!

As I said, Uptime is so important when you are depending on things like page views, subscribers, and possible sales and income. If someone visits your site to read a post they found via Pinterest, and your site is down, that is a reader you lost, a potential e-mail subscriber, and even quite possibly a potential customer. No thanks!

2 | SITEGROUND HAS SUPER FAST AND HELPFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE

This is an important feature when looking for a hosting provider as well. While I love blogging, the tech side of it is not always my strongest area. Sometimes I get confused by all the website lingo and I need a little help. Siteground has amazing customer service. They basically did all the work for me when I Transferred my Website from Bluehost over to Siteground, and helped me when I could not figure out how to transfer my domain. It is so easy to live chat, or you can simply submit a ticket if it isn’t something super urgent. They get back to you instantly and make things very easy to understand, providing you with easy to follow steps to take.

3 | SITEGROUND HAS SUPER FAST WEBSITE SPEED

As you see from the photo, faster hardware, faster web server, faster CMS, faster website, faster load time, faster PHP. Faster everything!!!!

Also, the SuperCache feature makes your site load extremely fast (which helps you get better rankings in Google) and increases the number of visitors your blog can handle. Your blog will be 4x faster, have multiple caching levels and will be able to handle 100 times more hits.

This is important because you never know when one of your posts will go viral! It happens quickly, and you want to be prepared.

So, those are the top 3 reasons I switched over to Siteground.
